In July 2022, Carl Pei launched Nothing’s first smartphone. There’s a sequel coming – Nothing Phone (2). The successor phone might launch in late 2023, according to a report. There’s a chance the phone will debut first in the US, followed by other global markets.

“We decided to make the U.S. our No. 1 priority in terms of markets,” Pei says. “We couldn’t do it earlier because we were just in our second year and we were busy building teams.” Now that we’re more stable, we can take a step forward,” he says.

Pei says, “We did almost 10x the revenue last year [in 2022 globally] compared to [2021]. In our first year, we did something like $24 million; last year, we did more than $200 million. We’re growing fast. We’ve shipped over a million products.”

In 2021, Nothing launched its first product – Nothing Ear (1). The company’s first smartphone, Nothing Phone (1), followed in 2022. It has a 6.55-inch Full HD+ OLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of 60Hz to 120Hz. There’s a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the back and front of the screen. Qualcomm Snapdragon 778+ octa-core processor powers Nothing smartphone.

Camera and screen

Even when playing quick games and watching animations with lots of graphics, the 6.67-inch OLED display on the Nothing Phone 2 delivers high-quality visuals. These images also have a 395ppi pixel density and a 120Hz refresh rate.

In terms of optics, the Nothing Phone 2 has three cameras on the back and one on the front. It has four rear-facing cameras with 50MP resolution, LED flashes, HDR modes, face detection, auto flash, and ISO controls. You can take beautiful photos and videos with the 32MP front camera.

The configuration and power source

Nothing Phone 2 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, 8GB RAM, and an eight-core processor with Cortex A510, Cortex A710, and Cortex X2. In addition, there’s an Adreno 730 GPU to handle graphics.
The 4700mAh battery on the Nothing 2 smartphone seems to last a long time. An integrated 66W Fast and Wireless Charging System is included with this Li-Polymer battery.

Storage and connectivity

The Nothing Phone 2 has 128GB of internal storage, which can’t be expanded. A-GPS, NFC, and Bluetooth are also included, as well as USB Type-C and 5G and 4G VoLTE.
